Longlac Moosecalac

Moosecalac is a community event held annually in Longlac on the Family Day Weekend. The main activity is the hockey tournament that attracts around 25 Mens and Ladies teams each year. With only one rink, the schedule is quite busy and comes close to playing hockey around the clock. The event is all for Charity and all funds raised go support Sick Children and local Kid’s activities in Greenstone. There are many other activities during Moosecalac including a Moonlight Ski and the Longlac Cross Country Club, the Junior Curling Bonspiel, kids dance.

Lake Nipigon Trout Hunt

The Lake Nipigon Trout Hunt is held in Beardmore on July 5,6,and 7. The annual Trout Hunt attracts participants from all over Ontario, Quebec, Minnesota and Wisconsin as they tackle the sixed Great Lake in anticipation of catching that 45lb Lake Trout. The fish derby is truly remarkable as it is one the best of its kind. There is a campground at beautiful Poplar Lodge Park just minutes down the road from High Hill Harbour where the boats are launched. Registration takes place at High Hill Harbour between 9am and 12pm on Friday, July 5. You can also register Saturday or Sunday.

Longlac Minor Hockey Arctic Blast

The Longlac Minor Hockey Arctic Blast Peewee - Bantam Tournament will be held on December 7 to 9. Cost is $175 per team. Guaranteed 3 games. (plus playoffs). Fun for the whole family. Free spaghetti dinner for the kids. Door prizes, raffles and draws. NHL jersey draw. Parents lounge area. NHL game night on the big screen. For more information Call Tim Griffin at 854-6752

Longlac Fall Classic - Novice Jamboree

The Longlac Fall Classic Novice Jamboree Hockey Tournament will be held on November 24 and 25. There is no cost. Minimum of 3 games (or two if you just want to do a day trip & play on Saturday). Fun for the whole family. Skills competition. Free spaghetti dinner for the kids. Door prizes, raffles and draws. NHL jersey draw. Parents lounge area. NHL game night on the big screen. Longlac Walleye Masters

Longlac Walleye Masters When: July 27th-29th Where: Lakeside Centre in Longlac The Longlac Chamber of Commerce is pleased to present the first annual Longlac Walleye Masters Live Release Tournament to be held on Long Lake July 27, 28, & 29, 2018. The format will be a two-person team, fishing for two days with the total combined weight entered for our grand prize of $10,000 based on 100 registered teams. Registration is set at $325. Nakina Bass Derby

Nakina Bass Derby. When: August 3rd-5th. Where: Cordingley Lake in Nakina The Nakina Fish and Game Live Release Bass Tournament is a two-person team, fishing for two days, total combined weight, live release Tournament.
