The Geraldton Daycare Centre has been open to regular childcare as of June 29, 2020. The Longlac Friends of the North Child Care Centre will be reopening to regular childcare as of August 31, 2020.   The Nakina After School Program remains closed at this time.

In addition, effective September 1, 2020, EarlyON Child and Family Centres will also be permitted to reopen with in-person programming where participants pre-register and additional health and safety protocols are in place.  An operational guidance document for EarlyON was provided by the Ministry of Education.  While the Ministry of Education has permitted the re-opening, Thunder Bay District Services Board is delaying the re-opening of programs until public health guidelines can be provided.   It is anticipated that staggered openings may begin to occur in October 2020.
