The next Municipal Election will be held on Monday October 27, 2014.  Nominations will start to be accepted on Thursday January 2, 2014 and end's Friday September 12, 2014 at 2:00 pm.

Are you recorded as an eligible elector for the upcoming municipal & school board election?

Potential electors can visit voterlookup.ca to confirm and/or update their electoral information in a few easy steps.  You can also change/update your school support for electoral purposes and add names to your property address.

Updating this information wil help ensure that Voters' Lists, prepared by MPAC for use by the Municipal Clerk, are accurate and up-to-date in preparation for the municipal & school board elections occurring this fall.

NOTICE of the Passing of By-law 14-32

Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Greenstone, at a Regular Meeting of Council held on Monday April 28, 2014, passed By-law 14-32, Being a By-law to authorize Voting by Telephone/Internet for the 2014 Municipal Election.  Section 42(1) of the Municipal Elections Act provides that a municipal council may pass a by-law  authorizing an alternative voting method that does not require electors to attend a voting place in order to vote.  Copies of By-Law 14-32 are available  at any Ward Office and by CLICKING HERE.

This alternative voting method replaces the traditional polling or voting location method.

Each eligible voter is eligible to vote only once in the Municipal election.
