The Municipality of Greenstone advises residents that the Greenstone Seniors Active Living Centre (SALC) – Longlac will be temporarily closed effective Monday, July 27, 2026, until a new SALC Coordinator has been recruited.

We understand this temporary closure may be disappointing for participants, and we appreciate everyone's patience and understanding as we work to fill this important position. Our goal is to reopen the Centre and resume programming as soon as possible.

The Municipality of Greenstone is pleased to announce the installation of accessible beach mats at three municipal beaches, improving access to waterfront recreation for residents and visitors of all abilities. This project was approved by Council through the Municipality's 2026 Capital Budget and is funded through the 2025 - 2026 Enhancing Access to Spaces for Everyone Grant.

The Municipality of Greenstone was pleased to host the year-end Youth Baseball Wind-Up celebrations in the communities of Geraldton on Monday, July 20th and Longlac on Tuesday, July 21st. This year's season welcomed a total of 119 youth participants, including 40 in Geraldton and 79 in Longlac. A sincere thank you goes out to our incredible volunteer coaches who dedicated their time and energy to making this season possible!
