Due to the need to perform a complete disinfection of the interior of the water tower in Longlac, the request to conserve water in the Longlac Ward has been extended to August 16. 

We thank all residents for their patience and assistance.

Residents of the Geraldton and Longlac Wards are asked to actively participate in Water Conservation due to the Water Tower Rehabilitation Projects.

It is essential to minimize our water consumption during this project to ensure:
  • all residents have sufficient pressure
  • the overall system pressure does not drop below Ministry of Environment specified levels
  • sufficient water is available in the case of an emergency (fire)
This notice will be in effect:
  • Geraldton Ward: June 26 – July 11
  • Longlac Ward: July 6 – August 16 
  • Geraldton Ward: July 31 – August 14
Please refrain from:
  • lawn watering via sprinklers or automatic sprinkler systems
  • washing of exterior building surfaces, parking lots, driveways or sidewalks
  • filling swimming pools, hot tubs and garden ponds
  • washing driveways, sidewalks, vehicles, boats or other equipment
  • use of power washers
