Municipal elections are held every four years to elect the Mayor and Council of the Municipality of Greenstone. Our election took place on October 24, 2022. The next term of office commences on November 15, 2022 and ends on November 14, 2026.
The Municipality of Greenstone authorized the use of Telephone/Internet Voting for the 2022 Municipal and School Board Election by By-Law 22-20 on February 14, 2022.

Voter Help Centres
You can cast your vote anytime and anywhere during the voting period on any device with an internet or telephone connection by using your confidential personal identification number found in your Voter Information Letter. If the information in your letter is incorrect, you can visit one of our Voter Help Centres (Ward Offices) and upon providing acceptable identification have the information corrected. If you need a telephone or computer, there will be stations set up at each Voter Help Centre for you to securely cast your vote. If you did not receive a Voter Information Letter and are eligible to vote visit a Voter Help Centre. Election Officials are also available at each Voter Help Centre to help with any election inquiries.

municipal election procedures
The Clerk, pursuant to section 42(3) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996 is required to develop procedures and forms and provide a copy of the procedures and forms to each candidate when his or her nomination is filed, or by June 1 in the year of an election. The procedures have been finalized for the 2022 Municipal Elections and they may be subject to revision. Any revisions to the procedures will be updated and notice will be sent to all candidates.
