If you would like to access the Municipality of Greenstone's information records, please contact our Administration Office . We will first try to provide as much information as possible without a Freedom of Information (FOI) request. If you are looking for personal or third-party information you will need to complete an FOI request
We use a Routine Disclosure of Records procedure to determine what can be shared outside of an FOI request. For principles on disclosure, access and protecting personal privacy, view the Municipal Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (MFIPPA).
Submit a FOI request
Complete the following process to submit an FOI:
- Complete the Request for Records Form
- Submit the form to the Office of the Clerk by email, in person or fax.
- Application fee must be paid at the time you apply. Email and fax requests will not be processed until payment has been received.
- Submit online a Request for Records Form along with the Payment
The municipality has 30 days to respond to your request.
Fees
A standard application fee is $5. Depending on the nature of your request there may be additional fees.
- Search, retrieval and preparation time - $7.50 per 15 minutes
- Photocopying - $0.20 per page
Payment is required prior to receiving requested records. Payment is accepted in person through cash, cheque, credit and debit. If paying by cheque, please make the cheque payable to the Municipality of Greenstone.
