Student Councillors
Each spring the Municipality of Greenstone Council offers the opportunity for two students to sit on the Council as non-voting representatives of the youth population of Greenstone. This is a unique leadership and learning opportunity that allows student councillors to learn how the municipal level of government works, how citizens are represented, how decisions are made, how budget is distributed, how priorities are established, and many other important components of local governance. The learning experience combined with the opportunity of representing the voice of Greenstone youth on subjects of interest and importance to the younger generation is an exciting opportunity.
